Bring your own Supabase
Point a project at your existing Supabase project instead of a managed backend.
Already have a Supabase project? Connect it as your app's backend instead of provisioning a managed one. Choose "Connect your own Supabase" on the Cloud enable screen and provide four values, which are verified live and stored encrypted: the Project URL, the anon key, the service role key, and the database connection string.
What changes in external mode
- Database, SQL editor, auth, storage, jobs, and multiplayer work in the Cloud tab as usual.
- Sections that need Supabase management access stay in your own Supabase dashboard: backups, edge functions, secrets, logs, emails, payments, security, and usage.
- The sidebar shows an External badge with your project host and a Disconnect button.
Your credentials are never shown or returned again after connecting. Disconnecting deletes the stored credentials from Startbase; your Supabase project and its data are untouched.
