Basics
Storage
Buckets, uploads, folders, signed URLs, and public access for your app's files.
The Storage section manages your app's file storage: user avatars, image galleries, attachments, anything your app uploads or serves. Files are organized in buckets, and each bucket is private or public.
Buckets and access
- Create buckets by name. New buckets are always private.
- Making a bucket public means anyone with a file's URL can read it without signing in; Startbase asks you to confirm before flipping it.
- For private buckets, generate signed URLs valid for one hour to share individual files.
- Deleting a bucket removes everything in it and cannot be undone.
Files and folders
- Upload multiple files at once; uploads in the Cloud tab are capped at 15 MB per file. For bigger files, ask the agent to upload from the workspace.
- Create folders to organize files and navigate with the breadcrumb path.
- Move or copy a file by giving it a new path from the Selected File panel.
